I’m a filmmaker and editor with more than 20 years’ experience making films from the first idea through to the finished edit. my work spans documentary, factual, branded and commercial films, often involving complex subjects, real people and challenging locations. I’m now focusing a large part of my work on editing, bringing the experience of having worked across the whole production process into the edit suite.

For me, editing is where the story is found. I’m interested in what makes a film work beyond simply putting good shots together - finding the right structure, shaping performances and interviews, controlling pace, using sound creatively and knowing when to let a moment breathe. My production background also means I understand what sits behind the footage. I’ve shot interviews, worked in difficult locations, recorded sound, flown drones and managed productions from the ground up. That experience gives me a practical understanding of what is possible in the edit, and how to get the most from the material I’m given.

I’m currently looking for full-time editing opportunities, as well as freelance and contract work. Available for remote projects and UK-based production work.
